Pool Doctor has been looking after pools and spas from 191 Archers Road, Glenfield, for 50 years.
Originally known as North Shore Swimming Pool Centre, we’ve been part of the local community since 1976. Back then, you could swim in the pools out the front of 191 Archers Road while we tested pool and spa water inside the house. Out the back, our sheds were where pool and spa equipment was repaired.
Things have changed over the years, but plenty has stayed the same.
In the 1990s, the house, sheds and, sadly, the pools were moved off site to make way for the building we’re still in today. We still test water. We still repair equipment. And we’re still focused on helping Auckland pool and spa owners keep their water healthy and their equipment working properly.
Over time, we shortened our trading name to Pool Doctor. It better reflects what we do today and makes answering the phone a little easier too. We’re still heading out to local homes daily to help customers with their pools and spas.
We believe having a pool shouldn’t mean spending your weekends testing water, cleaning filters, troubleshooting equipment or trying to work out why the water doesn’t look right.
Our job is to take care of the hard stuff, whether you need a one-off clean, regular pool maintenance, water testing, equipment repairs or help getting your pool back into shape.

Well I wish I had used this company first. I had already spent a ton of money on a previous pool repair company – and the previous company put 2 things in backward ( one of which heat damaged the pump ). Pool doctor was super professional, no mucking around -and straight into getting things sorted. The final price ( for what they did ) was pretty reasonable – much better than I thought it would be. Friendly staff, informative and got the job done well. Highly rate and will use them again!
I contacted Pool Doctor to assist with an inspection of our pool and fixing an issue. I was very pleased with their customer service and would definitely use them again as well as recommend them to anyone that asks. They were super responsive and helpful, even including notes of what I needed to do next with the pool. Thanks team!
Pool Doctor takes great care of my aging pool and are always quick to respond to any issues or problems (of which there have been many over the years). Their valet service saves me a heap of time and effort. Very efficient and reliable. Thanks team!
Megan and her skilled team have been looking after the pools in the two houses we have lived in since coming to NZ nearly 30 years ago. I would not think of using another pool service company. The service they offer is reliable, of excellent quality and the company is honest to a fault. Over this long period of association with Megan and all the Pool Doctor team we have got to know them well and absolutely trust any advice she or her team gives. Highly recommended.
Great team, best service. So reliable and best of all, they have the most amazing people , from valet to service. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended
I needed to replace our old MPV and gauge for our pool filter system, and after a couple of failed attempts and average customer service from other companies I came across Edward at Pool Doctor. He was so helpful and knew exactly what I needed. I received MPV & Gauge the next day and it fits perfectly. I highly recommend!
